The Majestic Ballroom - What We Do
At Leamington Dance Centre we teach anyone to dance. And, if they already dance, we’ll improve their technique whether it be in Waltz, Cha Cha, Rock and Roll, Argentine Tango or Two-step.

There are classes for all ages in: Ballroom, Latin American, Old Time, Rock and Roll and Argentine Tango, ranging from Social Dancing to all grades of Medal Classes and Professional Coaching.

Becoming a good dancer provides our members with a lifetime of pleasure; our club facilities provide an ideal context in which to learn, but also a place in which to share your enjoyment of dancing with others.

Awaiting any new member to the Dance Centre’s elegantly refurbished premises are our most valuable assets: expert and experienced teachers, and happy, friendly existing members.

The Format
As we are licensed premises, with the bar open in the evenings, everyone admitted after 8 pm must be over 18, however, all age groups are well represented, from young adults to the mature young at heart, We have rockers from 18 to 80!!

The evening starts with instruction and is followed by a Social practice dance, where you can make friends, have a drink and practice what you have been learning during the class. The teaching staff will be on hand to help out if you are having any difficulties.

The Location
Leamington Dance Centre is located at the bottom of The Parade in Leamington Spa opposite the Town Hall. It is on the second floor above Pizza Hut and a snooker hall. What to Wear

Social Dance, Ballroom, Latin, Old Time, Most members wear comfortable casual clothes. It helps if footwear is soft enough to be able to bend the foot at the toe joint. Slippery soles, high thin heels or sling backs should be avoided.

Rock ‘n Roll, Casual wear is appropriate. Most members wear jeans and other comfortable clothes. As the evening progresses, the temperature rises, so layers are best - a T-shirt even in winter is usually enough. It helps if footwear is soft enough to be able to bend the foot at the toe joint. Slippery soles, high thin heels or sling backs should be avoided. A lot of the members wear trainers.

To Book or not to Book
Social Dance, Ballroom, Latin, Old Time, Argentine Tango, The Dance Centre does not take bookings in advance for the social dance group and other Ballroom groups, we work on a pay as you dance basis - just turn up on the allotted night and pay at the door.

Rock ‘n’ Roll, Advance booking is helpful for the beginners course. You can use the site registration form, phone us on or 07970-654936 or send an email to SALES making sure that we have the names of all those wishing to attend.

Do I need a partner?
Rock ‘n Roll and Social Dance; It is not necessary to join the course as part of a couple as a percentage of the group usually attend unaccompanied.

Medal Classes, Members usually find a dance partner in the beginners groups; it is, however, necessary to have a partner of the correct grade to join one of the more advanced groups.

Personal Instruction
Personal Instruction can be arranged, depending on availability. Lessons can be arranged for couples in the daytime, early evening and weekends, it is normal practice for 2 Instructors to be teaching in the ballroom at the same time. Just leave a contact telephone number and the most suitable time for you, and an Instructor will call you as soon as possible.
